The masked murderers from The Strangers are back, and this time, they’re not just playing house. The Strangers: Chapter 2 hits theaters September 26, 2025, bringing another blood-soaked chapter of unrelenting terror, with Madelaine Petsch (Riverdale, Polaroid) once again in the crosshairs.

Directed by action-horror legend Renny Harlin (Die Hard 2, Cliffhanger, Exorcist: The Beginning), and written by Alan R. Cohen and Alan Freedland (Due Date, King of the Hill), this sequel dives deeper into the nightmare that began in the 2024 reboot.

Picking up where the first film left off, Chapter 2 finds Maya (Petsch) alive but far from safe. After somehow escaping the masked trio’s brutal game of cat and mouse, Maya learns the terrifying truth: they’re not done with her.

And these Strangers, they don’t forgive. They don’t forget. And they absolutely don’t leave witnesses.

Co-starring Gabriel Basso (The Night Agent, Super 8) and Ema Horvath (What Lies Below), the film promises to up the ante on suspense, gore, and that creeping dread that made the original such a genre staple.

As Maya tries to escape their grasp once again, the body count rises, and no one who stands in the killers’ way is safe. The Strangers’ only motivation? Pure, senseless violence.
