Terror Films Releasing Sets May Debut for Found Footage Chiller 'House At The Edge Of The Woods'

Grief, Isolation, and Something in the Woods Drive House At The Edge Of The Woods

Terror Films Releasing has locked in a May 15th, 2026 release for House At The Edge Of The Woods, a found footage nightmare from filmmaker Brandon Hartsock that leans hard into grief, paranoia, and the unseen.

Directed by Hartsock—who also produced alongside Dulvlu Spa—the film follows a man returning to his childhood home after personal loss, only to discover his father has vanished somewhere within the surrounding woods. When a police search turns up nothing, the quiet isolation fractures. Strange noises bleed in from the treeline. Nightfall brings something worse. Convinced something unnatural is at work, he brings in a team of paranormal investigators, with the story unfolding through their recovered footage.

The cast includes Dulvlu Spa, Josiah Miller, Madeline Lootens, and Giovanni Accettola, all working within a stripped-down, claustrophobic setup that keeps the tension tight and personal. Shot in just eight days with a crew of eight, the production embraces its limitations—turning a single location into a pressure cooker of dread.

Hartsock describes the film as deeply personal, drawing from childhood memories of growing up on the edge of the woods and the lingering question of what might be watching from the darkness. That idea fuels the film’s slow-burn descent into something far more unsettling, building toward what promises to be a brutal final stretch for found footage fans.

House At The Edge Of The Woods arrives across multiple platforms on May 15th.
